Known Vulnerabilities

The following vulnerabilities are known to exist in Liferay Portal CE.  Users of older releases are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the latest Liferay Portal CE release.  Patches are only produced for the latest Liferay Portal CE release.  Source code modifications may be possible on older releases, but care must be taken to backport fixes that may not apply to older releases.

CST-7112 Password reset token leaked to 3rd party sites

Description

The password reset token may be leaked to 3rd party website in Liferay Portal 7.1 CE. Out of the box, the password reset token is not leaked to any 3rd party website. However, if the site is integrated with 3rd party services that reads the pages URL, the 3rd party service will have access to the password reset token.

Notes

There is no patch available for Liferay Portal 7.1 CE GA1. Instead, users should upgrade to Liferay Portal 7.1 CE GA2 (7.1.1) or later to fix this issue.
